PureLeads is known as an annoying and potentially an unwanted application that it can be installed on the computer as a browser add-on, browser helper object (BHO), and extension. Since this program installs on the computers, it can be compatible with all brands of web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Yahoo, or Bing. And this program can also affect all operation system like Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8.



PureLeads gets on the target computers, it claims that “delivering faster direct navigation and savings opportunities for your favorite brands. 100% free, it works behind the scenes with your existing browser. " PureLeads stats that it can provide many different deals and savings when you buying products online. In fact, PureLeads is potential malware (or a PUP) categorized as adware. It can show up many pop-up windows which some are in-text ads that say something similar to “Ads by PureLeads” on them, and some are pop-up advertisements that appear in images and say “brought by PureLeads” or “PureLeads Deal for you!”. Those ads can trigger browser redirects that take up an entire browser window, and then a lot of unwanted application and programs can be downloaded onto the infected computers.


Ads by PureLeads this program can be installed on target computers. It will be attached with spam emails or pop-up ads, if you click any of them, the PureLeads virus may get on your computers. And the most common way be used by this program is bundled with freeware and shareware. PureLeads ads may trace down the ID and passwords from the cookies of browsers. How to disable Ads by PureLeads quickly

 

Plan 1:  remove Ads by PureLeads manually


Step 1, to stop all PureLeads related processes, press CTRL+ALT+DEL to open the Windows Task Manager. Click on the “Processes” tab, search PureLeads then right-click it and select “End Process” key.





Step 2, Remove add-ons:

Internet Explorer:
1) Go to Tools -> ‘Manage Add-ons’;
2) Choose ‘Search Providers’ -> choose ‘Bing’ search engine or ‘Google’ search engine and make it default;
3) Select ‘Search Results’ and click ‘Remove’ to remove it;
4) Go to ‘Tools’ -> ‘Internet Options’; select ‘General tab’ and click website, e.g. Google.com. Click OK to save changes.




Google Chrome
1) Click on ‘Customize and control’ Google Chrome icon, select ‘Settings’;
2) Choose ‘Basic Options’;
3) Change Google Chrome’s homepage to google.com or any other and click the ‘Manage Search Engines…’ button;
4) Select ‘Google’ from the list and make it your default search engine;
5) Select ‘Search Result’ from the list to remove it by clicking the ‘X’ mark.   

Mozilla Firefox
1) Click on the magnifier’s icon and select ‘Manage Search Engine…’;
2) Choose ‘Search Results’ from the list and click ‘Remove’ and OK to save changes;
3) Go to ‘Tools’ -> “Options”. Reset the startup homepage or change it to google.com under ‘General tab;


Step 3, Go to Control Panel and delete PureLeads from Add & Remove program
1. Click on the Start button. This is the small round button with the Windows flag in the lower left corner.
2. Click on the Control Panel menu option.
3. Click on Program
4. Click Add & Remove Program
5. Find PureLeads list and select Remove
6. Press the Apply button and then the OK button.



Step 4, Disable proxy

1. Click on Tools on the menu bar
2. Select Internet options
3. Go to Connections tab
4. Select LAN settings at the bottom of the dialog
5. Under the Proxy sever, untick 'use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections).'
6. Click OK



Step 5, clear up all browsing history and remove all temp files.

1) Click the icon to download SpyHunter
