Sponsorship is a kind of adware threat to the attacked computer without users’ knowledge, and it can leave lots of troubles onto the target computer. The first side, once this infection enters into the system, it begins to keep the popup windows with annoying ads, surveys, and etc. most of ads are related to commercial things, and whenever you open a website, you will find unneeded ads on the screen pages. Those ads keep pop-up all the time, and users cannot stop them, and it can open a new pop-up window while you tab a search on the IE, or other browsers. The second side, it can change the settings of the browser and default search engine. This threat can attack the most famous browsers such as IE, Google Chrome and MozillaFirefox, Bing, or Yahoo. When you open a site or a page, Sponsorship will show the ads on the pages of the target sites, and when you close the windows of the ads, it will open a new one randomly without your permission. At this point, you cannot be able to use your own search engine normally, for each time you open it, the ads will appear on the page of it. In this case, your homepage or search engine will be clashed over and over. In addition, this infection will force you to install a search engine which you are familiar with handling, or you never see it before. So your computer may be installed or downloaded other threats. If this virus has hit your computer, it will track your online actions and collect your privacy data without your notification at all. Commonly, this virus can sneak into the computer by many ways which are activated stealthily. It may utilize the fragile traits of the network, and leak of the fire wall or security protection. It also can come into the target system by installing a free ware, or updating a program online, opening a spam attachment, and visiting an illicit website.
